iPhone 14 not making any sound when making outgoing calls

This is a recent phenomenon. It used to be that when I placed a call, I could hear a ringing sound while waiting for it to be answered. Now there is just silence, and I have no way of knowing if the call is actually going through. Sometimes it gets answered. Sometimes it cuts out. This applies to ALL outgoing calls now.
