Whether you update your iPhone to iOS 18.3.1, won't have any affect on Battery Health. iOS version doesn't change the health of the battery. Battery Health goes in one direction only and that is down. Every time you charge your phone, it's health will decline little by little. You can't stop Battery Health decline and when the day comes that your battery health is 80% or less, it will then be time to pay Apple to replace the battery. Also note, battery health decline is not linear. Meaning it can remain steady for a while, drop a point or a few points all at once.
