I have trouble seeing print on white background, but when I turn it to dark, the accompanying pictures are not normal
I have set manually for my screen to stay in dark mode triple tap on the back will switch it back-and-forth
Is there any way to get normal picture viewing while in dark screen? Trutone is off

I too, for the same reason as yourself am using dark mode but I don't have any problem with pictures not being normal.
When you say 'accompanying pictures' what do you mean by that? What app or apps? Safari? Photos?
The only thing I can think of is your screen brightness isn't turned high enough. Take look in Settings > Display and Brightness.
Sorry but I tried Craigslist and a few others but I can't replicate the problem. I don't know what you've tried to remedy the situation so all I can suggest is restart your phone. Doing so will quite often clear any glitches. The other is to make sure your phone is updated to the latest iOS. If all else fails take your phone into the nearest Apple Store, or Apple Authorized Service Provider. They can test it for any hardware issues.
