Reset Email to show most recent on top

The way my emails open up is suddenly very mixed. I want my most recent incoming emails on top, going down to the oldest at the bottom. They have sorted themselves into 'from' and I cannot conceive how this happened, even if accidentally by me? I am using Mail Version 14, Big Sur 11.7.10, latest version available for my 2014 MacBook Pro
