3. Comment: that this all stated after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

What do you mean by your Face ID is off? Is it turned off or not working? If it is turned off, go back to Settings > Face ID and Passcode > Set up Face ID. If it isn’t working, there may be something wrong with your TrueDepth camera. Please review the following support articles.
