If you do not wish to continue a subscription, or pay for the following subscription period:

Tnen a free trial needs to be cancelled at least 24 hours before it expires. (You lose access on cancellation.)

If a subscription is from Apple, you may need to allow 24 hours for the transaction to be processed.
