Your bank is not providing you with correct information. Your phone was not hacked. Your bank account was.

Your phone is fine, but you can run Safety Check if you have the time.

It’s not your iPhone, it’s an incomplete card-number replacement by the bank.

They are probably recommending this as a precautionary measure. I concur with the others, your bank was hacked or maybe you responded to a phishing scam. Your phone is most likely fine. Change your bank account’s password too

Banks will try to blame everyone else. Bob is correct. If the bank asks again, tell them, "Yes, the phone has been cleaned."

Your debit card was not hacked through your phone.

That person at your bank does not know what they are talking about, but unless you want to change banks, you will have to continue to put up with their blame game.

You don't need to do this, but if you decide to run Safety Check, it is going to take you at least 3-4 hours to tell you that there is absolutely nothing wrong with your phone.
