Battery Widget is tinted GREY on Macbook??

I have added two pictures for reference. This has always been an issue on my Macbook ever since the widget options came out. I've tried many different options to fix this. FYI, I'm in light mode and it does this. All my other Apple widgets (like Calendar, Reminders, etc) look perfectly fine but this is a reoccurring issue with the battery widget. I've tried restarting, shutting down, fiddling with Desktop & Dock settings, and I have also tried my Mac in safe mode but to no luck. My Mac is running the latest software too. The funniest thing is that if I go into Guest mode, the widget is perfectly fine. But in my personal user, it just does not work. It's incredibly frustrating! Does anyone know the answer to this?
