I would like to use the Photos App feature, using sequoia OS. I clicked on a photo and I see that I can clip on copy , but not get further. I find nothing that says copy with background removed

Open an image in Preview by double-clicking an image file. Then choose Tools > Remove Background.
I'm not aware of any such feature in Photos on macOS Sequoia. You can remove the background of an image in Preview and copy or save the result.
you got me on the right track, but you left out the steps to get there. I did not know how to get the image in preview. It was not obvious. Once in preview you left out the step for deleting the portions of the photo to erase.
