Missing enable silent click option on OSX 15.1 Sequoia

To all: M-Series Macs do not have silent clicking. This is also proven by the terminal command also not working. Intel Macs can perform silent clicking. The latest Magic Trackpads seem to have also killed the feature.
Another reason I started dallying my early 2015 running Catalina over my M2. I just use my M2 now if I need to do any intensive work.

It's actually Quiet Click in the Trackpad settings.
First, update to Sequoia 15.3.1.
The deep multi-level click is the Force Click & Haptic Feedback. I am missing quiet click toggle on MBP 16" M3 MAX 2023 but I have the quiet click on the external Magic Trackpad, second generation.
Suspect the loud clicks are a thing of the past. It's barely audible at least for my white noise environment. The external Magic Trackpad is louder than the built-in trackpad on the MacBook Pro.
Do you have an Intel or a SIlicon Mac? Quiet Click shows on my M1 MacBook Air. Maybe it's not there with Intel Macs.
Other than that, I don't know.
Yes it's a deep clicky sound. I enabled the tap to click mode like in my further MacBooks that works fine. But for drag and drop I have a deep click sound and this is annoying. I do not have this issue on my MB pro 2015. Really strange.
Interesting... I see that you have "Quiet click" - which I do NOT have, either in my Intel or my M4 Pro MBP.
My System Settings look like the OP's (except for being in Dark Mode :-)).
It seems surprising that this may be something that existed only in M1-M3 and then reverted back in the M4.
Maybe this is specific to the Air models and does not exist in the MacBook Pro?

I really don't know. In the Apple documentation I've seen it does say "Silent Clicking". It also states, "on certain laptops". In any case, as I mentioned. whether it's only MBA's, mine doesn't make noise, enabled or not.
Does that option for silent clicking present in your 2015 mac? And does it make any difference to how clicking works? I have never seen it but also I am having trouble getting what the fuss is about, really. Clicking on any of my mac laptops (going back from 1999) was never an issue. I dare say that if the clicking noise is too much for you, then using tap to click is probably the best.
Hello Luis, thanks for the reply. I´m running my 2015 MacBook Pro 15" on Catalina. There is a silent clicking option in the trackpad preferences and yes it makes a little difference. I´m using the tap to click since a long time too.
For some actions I need to click the pad, for instance drag and drop that I´m using a lot by working with Logic pro x. I found an option to do this process with a fast and slight doubble tap too. Maybe the clicking noise of the McBK 2015 small trackpad is originally more silent than the bigger new ones at the M series. In my perceprion sounds the keyboard louder too. I tried it side by side simultaneously. A quality downgrade in my oppinion.
did it right now, it doesn't work either.
