Brought an type-c earpods from Amazon india and found out that there is no serial number or "design by apple" written along the wire but serial number is on the box and its shows valid coverage. Can it be a duplicate product?

The USB-C Apple EarPods do not have a visible serial number printed on the cable or earphones themselves. Unlike AirPods, which have serial numbers printed on the case and in the device settings, EarPods do not have an individual serial number that you can check.

However, if you purchased them directly from Apple or an authorized reseller (Amazon should be one,) you already know that the serial number is on the original packaging and / or on the receipt/invoice. If you're looking to verify authenticity or check warranty status, you can contact Apple Support with your proof of purchase.
