Replaced original iPad mini digitizer and the home button works but touch doesn’t

I recently replaced my iPad mini’s digitizer because the old one would click everywhere and stuff, and once i got the digitizer on the home button worked, but touch didn’t, i would like to mention that I’ve had the digitizer since august and haven’t touched it at all ever since. Another thing i wanna mention is that there are a few dents on the corners and the digitizer is not fully on but i tried to get it on. Could someone please provide help
