iPad typing multiple letters when charging

This is a different solution from an earlier post. But I found my iPad typed multiple letters while charging and some said to reset the iPad which did not work. And changing various settings , which did not work.

I changed back to the apple brand charging brick , which fixed this problem. So if someone is using off brand charging cable or brick, it may register as extra key strokes.
