I WANT MY old QUICKTIME PRO WITH MULTIPLE CODECS THAT ALWAYS SERVED ME WELL.

For playback of legacy codec media files, use VLC or IINA instead.

For conversion or editing, convert to a different codec that is supported by modern QuickTime Player or your favorite 2025 functional editor. HandBrake is quite versatile for conversions to H.264/AAC .mp4 files.
