Provider name missing after testing the emergency call via satellite

Hello,

I have noticed that after the test emergency call, only the time is displayed in the top left-hand corner, but not the name of the provider. I have already restarted the iPhone and unfortunately nothing has changed. When locked, the name of the provider is displayed. Very strange!

Greetings from Germany

That's normal behavior in iOS. The carrier name is typically displayed on the lock screen but disappears when the phone is unlocked. This is because iOS prioritizes showing the time, Wi-Fi, and battery icons in the status bar when you're actively using the device.

If you want to see the carrier name at all times, you can check it in:

  • Control Center (Swipe down from the top-right corner).
  • Settings > General > About (Shows the network provider).
