Portable monitor doesn't work with MBP14 M4max TB5 ports

Portable monitor, works perfectly with MBP13 M1 via USB-C port with no additional connection or external power supply, won't work with brand new MBP M4max via TB5 port (tested with bunch of various cables TB3/4/5). It only works once have external power supply attached.

This is completely diminish the portability idea itself.

Is it some SW issue that Apple may fix? Or pure HW problem?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.3

Hi,

I suppose your MacBook Pro USB-C ports are not able to supply good enough power to the external monitor, so it may be a hardware issue.
