iPhone Require Passcode 'Immediately" is the only option

Since one of the recent updates, if I have “IPhone Unlock” selected, I can’t not set the “required password” to anything besides “immediately”.

In the past, I’ve been able to select any of the options. This is especially frustrating because I cannot preview my messages or my preview screen. As the phone is locked, once I unlock it, it goes to the main screen.. Is this something that is going to be fixed? Or a new feature because I am not on board with it at all.

I have installed the latest updates.

(For your own security, if you use Touch ID or Apple Pay, you can't change the immediate passcode requirement).

Try this

Thank you for letting me know. Lets force restart the device once. Here are the steps to do so:

1 Press and quickly release the volume up button.

2 Press and quickly release the volume down button.

3 Press and hold the power button until you see the Apple logo.

Make sure to hold the power button for at least 30-60 seconds.

Immediately is the only option when Face ID is enabled.

Is your iPhone a managed device such as company owned? Are you part of an Apple Family Sharing Group?

I have tried a hard reset, It did help with some glitching that I had with the Password and lock screen menu, But the option has not changed

yes, that is a great workaround. But, I really liked how it was set up when I first got the phone. I had it set up to lock in one hour, face lock enabled. And then as I would go throughout the day, I could glance at my phone to check my tweets and what not, it would unlock with my face in the morning, and everything worked Wonderfully. With the immediately chosen, I can’t go through tweets because it automatically goes to the main screen after it’s unlocked.

Now it’s a pain having to put the passcode in every so often.
