I bought a new Macbook Pro late last year, and was never able to access the free one year subscription to Apple TV. Now it is past time to be able to accept the offer, but I DO want it.
I tried to accept it on my iPad (same Apple account) and suddenly a message popped up that said I had declined.

Users have 90 days to redeem the offer. To redeem today, the qualifying device should have been activated on or after 2024-11-18.
The one year offer was replaced with a three months offer in Mid 2021 or so.
Users should redeem the offer on their new qualifying device (i.e. your Mac), in the TV app.
Current and previous subscribers would have had a trial already, and may not qualify for a new trial.
If a trial subscription was started then canceled, then the remainder is forfeited.

Have not seen the 1 year free Apple TV+ offer, but with other offers, you have 3 months after setting up the device to use the promotion. All you can do is contact Apple directly and ask them. It is clear you missed the time to accept the deal and none of us have a way to change that.
The only remaining thing is to plea with the Apple Support staff.
Yes, I tried before the 90 days were up, but it just never worked. All I could ever see on the app was 7 day free trial, although I tried to accept the one year in settings.
