Since installation of NetGear AX router continuous notifications for malware, trojan virus from MAC update (update done prior to new router) run scan on regular basis with NetGear for MacPro and other items and all clear. How do I get rid of the false notifications

Are you seeing these Notification in the upper right of your screen. If so, go to Safari > Settings > Websites > Notifications, and remove all sites you see there. If you allow a website to send you Notifications, some will use that as an opportunity to send you those fake notifications as an attempt to scare you to download their app, and it is simply being used as an advertisement.
