iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not emit sound from the receiver

My iPhone 12 Pro Max does not emit sound from the receiver when receive calls, and I read on the Apple website it may be eligible for service. I brought it for service to the Apple Store in the Stoneridge mall Dublin, Ca and they told me the program is no longer available. My insurance through my service provider mentioned it is not covered because it is a manufacturer issue. So now Apple would charge me over $300 to get the whole display fixed since it’s out of warranty. Any suggestions because if my phone is a phone purchased during the period of time these types of phones have issues and I never was notified there was a deadline to get it fixed. Someone please help.
