Can I charge and pair my AirPods Pro with a new case?

My old AirPods Pro (1st generation) case no longer works. Is it possible to charge and pair the AirPods in another case?

Hi Lars02,

Re: My old AirPods Pro (1st generation) case no longer works.

For obtaining a new case: If not purchasing from Apple:

please take care as there are both fake and genuine cases around : ie: Model and serial number can be faked too.

Identify your AirPods - Apple Support lists the model number and serial number for two different cases:

There are also descriptions of each, in the article.

________________

AirPods Pro 1 case: Model number: A2190 The last four digits of the serial number are either 0C6L or LKKT.

____________________________________

MagSafe Charging Case for AirPods Pro 1:

Model number: A2190 : The last four digits of the serial number are either 1059 or 1NRC.

Am no expert in this area, and can not make promises for Apple. You can check with Apple Support if you wish.

(ie: We do not know anything about the condition of your AirPods Pro 1, or whether or not they need service)

________

Seems so: Apple support has an article online (link below) about setting up Airpods Pro with a new case:

Eg: says: ... "follow these steps to use your AirPods again on your iPhone or iPad".
