How do I allow a window to occupy the menu bar space at the top of the screen on an M4 MacBook Pro with a notch?

Just got a new M4 MBP 16 inch. This model has the notch in the middle for the camera and light sensors. I usually have my menu bar auto hide (as well as the Dock). When moving a window to the top of the screen or making the window full screen, it doesn't seem that you can have the window occupy the menu bar space at the top of the screen. is there a setting to allow this?
