Lines with arrow in front of message

my husband noticed this in front of a message that he sent me and it came up with some crazy words and I didn’t write anything like this…? Has anybody else had this issue? It’s circled in red

message with text i didn't send Hi everyone, something super weird has happened. I was text messaging my partner and he received the exact text message I wrote up to the last three words...and then a completely different end to the message (it added a whole sentence I didn't write instead of my original last three words). This has happened once before months ago and I was a bit spooked then, changed all my passwords and forgot about it...until just now. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

Is this a scam??? I was reading a text and when I went to put my phone down the bottom portion of the screen came up with a message and menu with options: Give or Receive and then it had a monetary amount in the middle "1" with a plus and minus on each side. It appeared as if was part of the iOS and not a "popup". It had a bar at the top of the message (which took up about 1/3 the bottom of the screen) and I was able to just scroll it down and get rid of it. I have never seen this before. I can't recreate it to get a screenshot. Just wondering if anyone has seen this or could give context. I've searched google and can't seem to find anything close. Thanks C
