Anyone Used Remo Recover? Some Office Files Won’t Open After Recovery

Hey everyone,

I recently used Remo Recover to get back some lost files from my external drive, and for the most part, it worked pretty well. I was able to recover almost everything—Word docs, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint slides. But I ran into an issue with a few of the Office files (10-15 files). Almost 2TB of data recovered from my 4TB External Drive, as it was half way filled.

The recovered files show the right file size, but when I try to open them in Microsoft Office, I get errors saying they’re corrupted or unreadable.

I tried opening them in Google Docs, LibreOffice, and even an older version of Office, but no luck.

Other recovered files seem totally fine—it’s just a handful of Office files that won’t open.

I know Remo has a File Repair tool, and I’ll probably give that a shot, but I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this before. Is this kind of thing normal with recovered files? Could certain types of files be more prone to corruption after recovery?

Would love to hear if anyone has had a similar experience or has any tips.
