Why is my new iPhone 16's cycle count already at 4?

I have a new iPhone 16. And I looked at the settings and my cycle count is already at 4. What should I do about it? My phone is just 2 weeks old. I watched a YouTube video and they said if it’s new the cycle count should be at 2 max and if it’s higher I should bring it back. As I said it’s only 2 weeks old. Than you for your help

For two weeks of use on your new iPhone, 4 charge cycles is pretty good.

Also the internet has a lot of misinformation these days, especially YouTube, so you must say vigilant. Whatever video you watched was giving you false information regarding your iPhone. Your iPhone charge cycle count will never stay at a max of 2. You should not be returning your iPhone because of that. Keep in mind that your charge cycle count only goes in one direction, up.

Your cycle count is at 4 because the battery has been fully charged and discharged a total of 4 times.

There no such thing as "normal". Your cycle count is what it is. Another phone would have behaved the same.

After 1,000 Cycle Counts, the battery should be down to about 80% Battery Health. At 500 Cycles, it will be at about 90%. At 250 Cycles, about 95%.

You don't need to pay that much attention to the battery. You will drive yourself crazy if you are checking the battery all the time.
