What does error -9836 mean while activating Home Sharing?

Please help us help you. What Apple device and what operating system version it is running.

We are other end users, not Apple, and cannot remotely access your tech gear to see what device is involved. We can only work with information you provide us.

Mostly appears to be a problem for Older OS versions.
