Bottom Speakers dont play audio when covered

Whenever i cover the speakers at the bottom of my phone with my palm it stops playing audio (it plays audio fine when uncovered) and after i can only hear the audio from the top speakers. this used to not happen and is now troubling when i play games that require me to play with my phone horizontally because the audio is uncomfortable as i cant hear it since it wont come out of the bottom speaker when covered. how can i make it so it still plays the audio the same as it always does when i cover it
