Mouse not working after Sequoia 15.3.1 update

After installing update 15.3.1 Sequoia, the USB-C adapter for my mouse stopped working. It does work in safe mode. Is there a new update to fix, or how can I fix.

The Laptop is a MacBook Pro with the Apple M1 Pro chip. My mouse is a Logitech M220

Update on my mouse issue:

I wanted to provide an update on the problem I'm experiencing with my Logitech M220 mouse after the macOS 15.3.1 update.

Initially, the mouse stopped working entirely. It now works intermittently in normal mode, typically for 3-10 minutes before the connection drops.

I performed extended tests *in Safe Mode*. I did two portions of the test. In the first portion, the mouse stopped working at 12:07:22. In the second portion, it stopped working at 7:27:56. *After the second test, the mouse did not start working again.*

This leads me to believe the issue is not related to third-party apps or extensions since they are disabled in Safe Mode. I'm using an Apple-branded USB-C to USB adapter with my MacBook Pro 16" (M1 Pro chip) running macOS 15.3.1.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Key improvements in this reply:

* Clear and Concise: It gets straight to the point with the new information.

* Emphasizes Safe Mode: It clearly states that the tests were done in Safe Mode, highlighting the likely macOS or hardware issue.

* Specific Times: It includes the exact times the mouse stopped working, which is very helpful for Apple Support.

* Highlights Persistence: It mentions that the mouse didn't restart after the second test, indicating the persistent nature of the problem.

* Reiterates Key Details: It reminds readers of your Mac model, macOS version, and adapter.

* Call to Action: It ends with a polite request for help.

This updated reply will keep your thread active and ensure that Apple Support and other community members have the most current information about your issue. It's now strongly pointing towards a macOS problem, so hopefully, Apple will be able to provide a solution or acknowledge a known bug.

Apple Support is not here, this is a user forum.

Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate your input dialabrain.

I understand that Logitech support might be able to help with general mouse issues, but the fact that this problem occurs even in Safe Mode on my MacBook Pro running macOS 15.3.1 suggests it's more likely a macOS-related issue. Safe Mode disables third-party extensions and drivers, so it points to something deeper within the system.

Additionally, the problem started after the recent macOS 15.3.1 update. I've also tested the mouse with an Apple-branded USB-C adapter.

I'll keep Logitech support in mind, but I believe contacting Apple Support directly is the most appropriate next step given the circumstances. They are more familiar with macOS-specific issues and driver compatibility. Has anyone else experienced similar problems after the 15.3.1 update, especially on an M1 Mac?

Hello, I'm experiencing the same thing. Mine does not even work in safe mode. The mouse I'm using is Trust Ergonomic wireless USB. I have two macbooks and both of them are Sequoia 15.3.1. I think the issue started with the update because a few weeks ago I didn't have this problem. I haven't been using the mouse for a while so I haven't noticed it before...

Were you able to find a solution ?
