My IPhone 11 screen won’t show anything when I power it on.

A few days ago I was using my phone and I hadn’t unlocked it after the battery died last night (I charged it so it was on just not fully unlocked) because I was in the car and was helping my mom. The battery was at about 100% and i was trying to look at my wallpaper. The brightness was dark because in the night I don’t like my phone screen bright. My mom couldn’t see the screen and had shut the phone down thinking it would make it brighter when it turned back on but, it didn’t. Or so we thought. My phone flashes on the back when I get notifications and my mom had called my phone to test why the screen was just black. I still can click the side buttons but I don’t see anything but my phone still flashes when I get notifications. The screen is just black. I had to wait till the phone died to charge it then the screen would come back on. It is really wierd and happened once again today when I used my phone, i had it shut off again because I was in class. I’ve tried taking off the case and seeing if anything was broken and it seems the same. Do i need to get it checked out or fixed??

Did you force-restart it?

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME UP

     then

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN

     then

  • Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky. If done correctly this will always work unless the phone has a hardware problem.
