My microphone was working in a 3rd party app and now it isn’t so how do I fix this issue?

My microphone was working in 3rd party apps but now isn’t and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Can I please get some help for turning on my microphone on my iPhone 16 pro max?

(I noticed after I posted this it says “iPhone 11 below”. That’s what I use to use. I’ve upgraded but have yet so much to learn on this new iPhone. I’m not very good at computer technology/science tbh so could use as much help as possible? I feel like I need to go back to school in my 50’s lol!~ ugh 😩 smh

I really do appreciate anyone’s help here? Thank you ahead of time. :-)

If your microphone isn’t working for third-party apps, keep in mind that you need to give those apps permission to use it. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Microphone > Then apps that have requested access to your microphone will show up there, and you can grant them permission. If your apps don’t show up there, they may not have requested you microphone access and thus you may need to use one of the app’s microphone features for it to show up.
