Hello - I have just acquired a refurbished Macbook Air from 2019 - My old one was 2015 - I want to transfer files - Would it work if I plug in a USB on the older computer and use a dual connecting cable - USC in this case - to transfer the files? Thank you!

You took the words right outa my mouth! Every Mac user needs to regularly back up their computer and TimeMachine is a convenient way to do it. That it always makes migrating to a new computer simple is an extra bonus.
