Can I update mid 2012 (8GB dual-core 512kb) Mac Air from Catalina 10.15.7 to Big Sur 11.0?

That model can't be upgraded past Catalina.

Thanks Niel. Does that mean I can't get help from Apple if something goes wrong? Or is it just Windows for Mac?
Not necessarily, but they probably won't be able to provide replacement parts, and for software issues, the technicians may not be familiar with that OS.
