How do I recover lost Stardew Valley save file after iPad iOS update?

jacked up my save file in stardew while updating iPad iOS. Lost months. Wild a company this big can blunder such simple things. Get better engineers Apple, you got the dough.. this shouldn’t be able to happen on a one click prompt.
