since update to 18.3.1 instagram/FB doesn't work anymore

my Instagram is just existing of grey field since I updated to the latest version 18.3.1

I already tried to delete the app and download it again, but that actually made it almost worse. Before I at least saw a few images, now it's all just grey. After a while I get the notification that something went wrong and that I should try again later.


Anybody has an idea on what to do? I need IG for my work so it is really devastating.

Maybe the App Developers have not updated their apps for iOS 18.3.1 compatibility. Get is touch with them.


Instagram is not an Apple Product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support  or Instagram Help Center or Troubleshooting


Facebook is not an Apple product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support or Facebook Help Center | Facebook

meta support page is a useless endeavor, they tell you go into app, recreate problem, then shake your phone to bring up a trouble ticket submission. you attach screenshots, attach logs and diags, and add any other info to describe problem, hit submit and you get a thank you we will use your feedback to help improve our responses. actually I think it goes into a black hole and is never seen nor acted upon.

I have been unable to log in to Instagram since March 6th. I can access my account through my boyfriend’s iPhone and my MacBook Air (which is connected to my iPhone), but I cannot log in using my own iPhone or my old one.


I have already deleted and reinstalled the app about 10 times, restarted my phone, and changed my login credentials, but nothing has worked.


My iPhone is an iPhone 15 running iOS 18.3.1.

Of course it is useless. They also don't have a support forum such as this for users to discuss issues. Their software is plagued with bugs constantly and it works out better for them if they are not published. Surprisingly their apps are updated up to 10 times a month, where they obviously are not testing each update before release and rely on their users to be bug testers without an effective method to communicate these issues.


Yet, some people just cannot come to the conclusion that Meta is the cause of a problem and will insist that it must be Apple. Not sure the logic there, but maybe we just see those reports here on the Apple Support site because they have no place to turn without a Meta Support Site where users can share their issues and having poor support on top of it.
