iOS 18.3.1 update causing app updates and Apple News 'No Internet Connection' issue on iPhone 14

updated the IOS a couple days ago, now none of my apps update on my iphone 14. Also, Apple News says No Internet Connection. Are the issues related to the IOS update?

If you have any add-on VPN apps, remove all, restart, and test again. Shutting off the VPN apps won’t necessarily resolve the issues those can sometimes cause.
