Not to my knowledge. But as I said, you can turn off internet access on almost any device you buy. If Wi-Fi is turned off, and no Wi-Fi networks are saved on it, then the iPad cannot connect to the internet in any way.

You are chasing the wrong angle by trying to get a device without internet access. In this day and age no such device exists. Much less from Apple.

For purchases on the iTunes and App Stores, If using Family Sharing, you can block purchases by setting up Ask to Buy or you can simply turn off Purchase Sharing so she can't buy anything on your payment method and as long as there is no payment method on her account, then no purchases can be made.

Yes, people do understand what you're asking. I don't think there is a table made that doesn't have internet capabilities. However, you should be able to turn off the WiFi. You can restrict access to settings using Screen Time.

Will this person be taking the tablet out of the house? If not, change the WiFi password and don't give them the new one.

Are you looking for a different device entirely, or for games and reading apps for her current iPad that don't need internet access?

What classes of games does she like? That may help us narrow your search.

Also, how is her manual dexterity? My mother-in-law was mentally competent until called home at age 98 but, for the previous ±15 years, had hand issues that gave her trouble.

She started with a MacBook Pro and later switched to an iPad. I found a big part of her issues with both devices was an inability to fully curl the ring finger on her dominant hand. That finger dragged on the Mac's trackpad and the iPad screen, causing odd inputs. A stylus helped her when she switched to the iPad.

If you turn off Wi-Fi, can she figure out how to turn it on again? A number of games work without wifi; for some, turning off wifi has the advantage of stopping frustrating adverts that interrupt gameplay.

An iPad is a tablet.

You can always turn off the internet, by shutting down Wi-Fi in settings on the iPad.

As mentioned, forget all Wi-fi networks from the iPad, turn off Wi-Fi, and the iPad will have no internet capability.

Unless your mother can go into Settings, turn on Wi-Fi again, find a wi-Fi network to connect to and provide the password to connect to it, there is no chance she will get to the internet.

I’m curious to know if you ever found a solution to the question you were asking I have a very similar situation with the dexterity issues and low vision and I’m looking for suggestions

Have you ever tried a trackpad or mouse to use for working with an iPad or even to cast an image to a larger screen from your iPad using a compatible, keyboard, mouse, trackpad, etc.

I don’t usually reply to questions. This is my first therefore, I apologize if I have done this in any way that is incorrect I’m still trying to learn technology and how to use all these things properly. If you do have the time to respond, please do .
