No access when printing in Sequoia to specialised paper icc profiles

I can't find how to access specialised paper icc profiles when printing in Sequoia on my 2018 Mac Mini and in Catalina on my 2012 MacBookPro. On both computers there is no problem when using partitions running Mojave.

I have many icc profiles installed in Users/my-name/Library/ColorSync/Profiles and in the system Library as well. Examples are HFA_EpsSC-P600_PK_PRBaryta.icc. and PINN_MATTE230_SC_P600.icc

I've made sure that I've installed the latest drivers and other software for the Epson Surecolor P600 printer. I've tried with the printer connected by USB and connected by wifi. I've run Disk Utility and also tried opening in safe mode.

I've tried several photo editing apps, and Preview is a simple example with. the problem. As you can see in the first attached screenshot (print in Catalina), the only papers I can chose from are the generic small set. In the other screenshot (print with Mojave) you can see the Color Matching dropdown option in the Preview field, and I've chosen the Epson Velvet icc profile.

I can't see any permissions to enable, and I can't see why it would matter that Mojave works with 24 bit apps, but the others don't. Colorsync Utility can work with all of my profiles, and didn't find anything wrong with them.

There must be many photographers who don't have this problem. Any suggestions?

I solved it this morning, following a suggestion from a friend and asking ChatGPT. The key was remembering that I had first used the printer soon after getting the computer with its Sequioa system. I hadn't installed Epson's own software, including its driver. So I guessed that, even though I subsequently installed Epson's driver, the generic driver built into the system was still in control.

So I went to the Printers & Scanners system settings, removed the Epson printer from the list, connected the printer by USB and switched it on, and re-added the Epson Printer. I needed to select Epson's own printer driver in the "Use" dropdown menu.

To my great relief the printing options I wanted are now in Preview's print menu, and no doubt will be there in other apps. And I'll do the same with the Catalina partition on my MacBookPro.
