Unable to locate cut option in Notes app on iPhone

What might “cut notes” mean exactly?

• A note that had a “cut” operation performed? The “cut” was placed on your clipboard, and unless you overrode your clipboard, it may now be pasted.
• A note you recently deleted? Tap “<Folders” on top and look in “Recently Deleted”.
• Something else? It’s almost certainly gone.

If you hit "cut" by mistake, the first thing you want to do is "paste" which should put everything back. But, unless you just did this and haven't done much else since, that's unlikely to be an option any more.
