Location map in Messages disappeared

My husband and daughters share their locations with me. I usually "stalk their dot" in the Messages app. And usually their location is shown in tiny letters underneath their picture, and tapping on that brings up a map.

My husband is traveling today, and I could see his location this morning. Suddenly this afternoon the map has disappeared. So has the little description of his location under his picture. However, I can see his location using the FindMy app. I can see the locations of my daughters in the Messages app, but not him.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I did restart the phone, and it didn't help. Thanks.
