New Yubikey with no FIDO2 PIN set, fails in Safari with no prompt to create PIN

Am I missing something or is this a Safari bug? Safari fails to request new Yubikeys (that do not yet have a FIDO2 PIN set) to set a FIDO2 PIN, and as a result will not proceed to register new Yubikeys for services that use FIDO2 authentication. It simply hangs and fails. (Note, Chrome does trigger a "set PIN" window, so it is a Safari problem.)

Safari converts first 2 characters while invisibly typing password This bug occurred on Safari 18, macOS 15. On many/most login forms (but apparently not all, like Gmail), when the password is being typed when it is not visible (showing as •), it seems the first 2 characters get converted to a bullet and a whitespace ("• " without quotes), preventing me from logging in. This can be inferred by choosing to show the password after typing it. For example, in the login form at Casting Networks, I tried to type "abc123" (a fake password for demo purposes), but when I select to show what I had typed, it shows "• c123". So "ab" got converted to the aforementioned characters. The workaround is to type the password when visible, or, if visibility is not an option on the form, type elsewhere and copy/paste. Or use another browser. But this needs to be fixed ASAP. I reported this to Apple and am wondering if anyone knows a better resolution/workaround until there's an official fix.

Arrow key scrolling broken in Safari 16.5 (Ventura) As of recently, hitting arrow keys as described on this page: Keyboard shortcuts and gestures in Safari on Mac – Apple Support (UK) does not work as described on that page. That page says. as of now: > Scroll up, down, left or right: Press the arrow keys. However, pressing arrow keys does not result in that behavior. Instead, behavior is erratic with page scrolling randomly to top or bottom, or nothing is happening at all. Since I have been using arrow keys often before, this must’ve started recently. Restarting Safari doesn’t help. This affects all and every website, including this Apple website. This happens with both built-in keyboard on my MacBook Pro M1 as well as newly bought external Bluetooth keyboard from Logitech.

macOS catalina safari not connecting to my Edward Jones account Safari 15.6.1 is not connecting with Edward Jones online account, getting a message "It appears your browser is not supported". I am using MacOS Caralina 10.15.7 Just noticed this on Oct 16 2024 and in previous weeks my safari was allowing me to log in and work all of Edward Jones feature in my account. How can I fix this?
