Why did my USB stick suddenly disappear on MacBook Pro?

I have a MacBook Pro 13 and I’ve been using this USB with no issues until yesterday it stopped appearing on my desktop. It doesn’t even show on my Disk Utility.

Alot of important projects are on this drive and I want to know how i could make it appear on my desktop again.

i tried putting it in my old macie desktop and it will show up for a bit then disappear while also having certain things missing.

Guys please tell me there’s a way to get this fixed

This reads to me as a failing flash drive. These cheap mass produced devices are notorious for that.

The next time the device becomes available for access you had best copy off whatever data you can while you have the opportunity.

If this data is important to you then you should also be using Time Machine to back up this data along with the rest of your stuff in the computer. Apple has already given you the backup software, all you need to do is provide a proper external drive - not a flash drive - to use it. Back up your Mac with Time Machine - Apple Support

If you don’t have back up then you will have a bad day when you’ll wish you had. At the very least you should keep multiple copies of any important files on multiple devices.

You might try running Disk Utility’s First Aid routines on the drive and its volume to see if that improves the situation.
