Screen freezing issue after iOS 18.3.1 on my iPhone 15

I have exactly the same issue but on an iPhone 11 with iOS 18.3.1.

The unlock screen freezes often. After a hard reset it sometimes responds. But then other things are working - can’t get to the internet, it just won’t load. And going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone jams the screen. The “Transfer or Reset iPhone” menu item turns grey showing I tapped it, but then the next screen doesn’t appear. The whole Settings app just locks, and won’t even scroll. I have to swipe up the Settings app to get the phone to respond again.

I have restored back to factory settings and then reloaded a backup from iCloud but the same issue happens whenever the iCloud backup has been applied. Very frustrating!

Since the update both of our Iphone 16 Pro Max phones are experiencing screen freezing.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.
