Garage Band no longer works since I installed Ventura on my iMac.

Garage Band no loner works on my iMac since I installed Ventura and I am hugely disappointed by the attitude and lack of knowledge demonstrated by the so-called experts on this site and their lack of technical knowledge regarding this matter. I see unanswered questions on this same topic and links no longer in existence in some replies.

We are just users like yourself and Garageband is just not widely used compared to Photos or the iPhone so there are few "experts" to answer questions.

That said, have you tried to update Garageband?

Thanks for responding and for the suggestion but--none if it works. Garage Band shows up in the app store but has no download button. This is not an update, either. There is however and OPEN button in which it tries to open MY nonworking copy of Garage Band, and then I receive the same pop-up window that I have been getting: "Cannot open Garage Band. Report problem to Apple?" I would not have written this note, if I had not already tried to update Garage Band and not already tried to solve the problem by following the list--which I have already seen. I would not have written this note if I had not already seen the same question being asked for the past few years by others on this site and still do not have solutions nor answers. So--no updates appear to be available from the app store.
