My iPhone changes "US" to "U.S." This isn't an item in the dictionary and it's a pain to fix. How do I get my iPhone to stop doing this? I'm using an iPhone 16 with iOS 18.3.1.

You could try to see if Text Replacement helps you. Keep in mind that the correct abbreviation for the United States is U.S. If you don't want it that way, open the Settings App > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement > Tap the +, then in Phrase, type U.S. and in Shortcut, type US
The context is not clear. When does this happen while typing on the Notes App, Message app or any other place.
