How do I change something I marked as junk on accident

I accidentally report junk on a text I was deleting and it’s not junk. What do I need to do to fix it.

iPhone 15 Plus, iOS 18

When you move an email from the Junk folder to the Inbox in most email services (such as Gmail, Outlook, or Apple Mail), the system typically learns from this action. This helps train the spam filter to recognize that emails from that sender or domain are not junk. In some cases, the system may automatically adjust its filtering rules to prevent future emails from the same sender from being marked as spam.

  1. Is this your corporate iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate
  2. If it is your personal device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
    1. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
    2. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you
  3. If you want to turn on SSL trust for that certificate, go to Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings. Under "Enable full trust for root certificates," turn on trust for the certificate. Apple recommends deploying certificates via Apple Configurator or Mobile Device Management (MDM). --> Trust manually installed certificate profiles in iOS and iPadOS ...

Some email services may require additional actions to fully recognize the sender as safe, such as:

  • Marking the email as "Not Junk" or "Not Spam" instead of just moving it manually.
  • Adding the sender to your contacts to ensure future emails land in the Inbox.
