iCloud Mail not syncing between MacBook and iPhone after updates

I recently updated my MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) to Sequoia 15.3.1 and my iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 18.3.1. Since then changes I make to my iCloud mail on one of the devices are not reflected on the other device (ie, mail read and deleted on my iPhone, still shows as unread on my MacBook). I have tried turning off iCloud Mail in settings, restarting and enabling iCloud Mail to no avail.

Issue solved! I did not realise that the latest iOS update automatically introduced 'Categories' and switched my inbox view. I was unaware that I had to scroll through the categories at the top of the inbox to see all mail. I have switched the view over to 'List View' and now my inboxes match up again - not a sync issue at all!
