iPhone 15 pro iOS 18.3.1. Adding a selected photo to an album is now a nightmare. All the albums appear to be in a completely random order with no way of sorting. Has anyone managed to fix this?

When you use the command "Add to album" went can see the folders the albums are in.
It will help a lot to structure your list of albums with folders and subfolders. we can nest the folders with subfolders and subsubfolders, etc.
What I am doing:
One problem - we have to create each album right inside the folder where we want it. We cannot move existing albums to a different folder. So we need to plan ahead.
Or, if we are using iCloud Photos and have a Mac, it it is more convenient to create the folder structure on the Mac and arrange the albums there, then let iCloud sync them to the iPhone and iPad.

We all had a crazy number of albums before we started putting them in folders. I now have hundreds of folders. If you aren't organizing albums into folders, it will never get easier than now…
Thanks for the really quick response and a suggested workaround. Unfortunately I already have hundreds of albums. Why Apple thought this was a good idea is beyond me. Worked perfectly well in all previous IOSs. Here’s hoping for a quick fix in the next upgrade as currently it’s not fit for purpose.
