When you use the command "Add to album" went can see the folders the albums are in.
It will help a lot to structure your list of albums with folders and subfolders. we can nest the folders with subfolders and subsubfolders, etc.
What I am doing:
- I am creating related albums in enclosing folders, and related folders are also grouped by folders.
- There are no more than ten albums or ten subfolders in each folder, but so I can find each of my thousand albums at a glance by clicking through the hierarchy of folders, for example to find my album "2013_Alaska_Day10_Denali I just need four clicks on the folders "Travel > 2010-2019 > 2013_Alaska_Yukon > 2013_Alaska_Day10_Denali
One problem - we have to create each album right inside the folder where we want it. We cannot move existing albums to a different folder. So we need to plan ahead.
Or, if we are using iCloud Photos and have a Mac, it it is more convenient to create the folder structure on the Mac and arrange the albums there, then let iCloud sync them to the iPhone and iPad.
