DSLR photos imported into iPhone photos app not sorted correctly

When I travel to a time zone different from my own (Eastern), I always adjust the clock on my DSLR to the time at the current location. If I import these photos into my iPhone 15 Pro Max Photos app and merge them into an album with iPhone photos taken at the same location, the photos are not sorted correctly by time even though the date/time taken is correct when I look at EXIF metadata. For example, DSLR photos taken in Central European time zone were sorted in an album with iPhone photos taken six hours later. Is the fact that my DSLR doesn’t have a GPS causing the discrepancy? I tried adding the location of an imported photo in the iPhone photos app, but that didn’t fix the problem. Is there any way to fix this?

A more or less standard way to hand a time zone is to include the local time and the zone difference from UT. Your camera may not record this the way Photos understands it.

On your phone you can select all the pictures, and then use three dots "More" (•••) to choose Adjust Date & Time. You'll see the first date and time, and however you change it (add 6 hours, for instance) will adjust the others by the same change. Again-- if the pictures are selected together, then they will all change by the same increment.
