If you accidentally deleted text messages on your iPhone, don’t worry! Here are some ways to recover them:

1. Check "Recently Deleted" Folder (iOS 16 & Later)

If your iPhone is running iOS 16 or later, Apple provides a built-in Recently Deleted folder for Messages:

  • Open the Messages app.
  • Tap Edit (or Filters in some cases).
  • Select Recently Deleted and check if your messages are there.
  • Tap the messages you want to recover and press Recover.

2. Restore from iCloud Backup

If you regularly back up your iPhone to iCloud, you might be able to restore your deleted messages:

  • Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings.
  • Set up your iPhone and choose Restore from iCloud Backup.

📌 Note: This will overwrite your current data with the backup.

3. Restore from iTunes/Finder Backup

If you have an iTunes or Finder backup, you can restore your iPhone:

  • Connect your iPhone to a computer.
  • Open iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac) and select your device.
  • Click Restore Backup and choose the most recent backup.

🚨 Warning: This will replace your existing data with the backup version.
