Logic Pro iPad - Import music from default music app

I have recently started using Logic Pro on iPad.

I was wondering is it possible to import music directly from the default music app on iPad. I’m referring to music that was purchased in iTunes and downloaded to the music app.

I don’t have an Apple music subscription so any music in the app has been purchased from iTunes or synced from CDs.

It’s understand that this is could be restricted due to DRM, but the iPad GarageBand app allows for music to be imported directly from the music app. And given that GarageBand projects can be imported and converted to Logic Pro projects, it seems unlikely that this workaround would exist.

Also on Mac, music purchased on iTunes or imported from CDs can be easily exported to Finder and imported into Logic Pro on Mac.

If it was a DRM issue, then it shouldn’t be possible to import any music from iTunes.

My working theory is that Logic Pro for iPad relies on using split screen to import media, and the music in the default music app is not available in the Files app.

Am I missing something?
